It didn’t take long after the debut of our APC9 platform for requests to begin flowing in for a larger framed version chambered in the ubiquitous 5.56 NATO cartridge. We began work immediately, incorporating all the features and benefits found in the APC9, creating a truly state of the art, fully ambidextrous assault rifle.

The APC223/556 utilizes a piston operating system optimized for use with a suppressor and can be regulated by way of an adjustable gas valve. It can be tuned as the weapon becomes increasingly fouled due to heavy firing schedules or prolonged use with a suppressor.

The piston design not only increases the reliability of the operating system in adverse conditions, but also traps less gas within the system. What gas remains is expelled forward of the shooter, making the platform not only more comfortable to shoot suppressed, but it’s also healthier for the shooter.

The B&T APC223 Pro pistol combines excellent maneuverability with the power of the B&T APC556/223 line of carbines. Ambidextrous in all respects, this is the ideal close quarters gun for multiple professional and sporting applications and uses.

The APC223 Pro platform utilizes a hydraulic buffer system to significantly reduce felt recoil and muzzle rise, while providing increased terminal performance, intermediate barrier penetration and sheer energy on target, in a size optimized for discrete deployment.
